1. Purpose

The purpose of this Code of Conduct is to establish standards of ethical behaviour and professional conduct for all members of the Armadale Region Business Association Inc.

2. Scope

This Code applies to all members, including board members, staff, and volunteers.

3. Core Principles

All members are expected to behave in ways that are aligned with our core principles:

• Integrity: Members shall act with honesty and integrity in all dealings.
• Respect: Members shall treat others with respect and dignity.
• Accountability: Members shall be accountable for their actions and decisions.
• Transparency: Members shall conduct business in an open and transparent manner.

4. Professional Conduct

• Compliance with Laws: Members shall comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Conflict of Interest: Members shall avoid conflicts of interest and disclose any potential conflicts.
• Confidentiality: Members shall respect the confidentiality of information acquired in the course of their duties.
• Fair Competition: Members shall engage in fair competition and avoid anti-competitive practices.

5. Discrimination, Harassment and Bullying

Members shall promote diversity and inclusion and shall not engage in any form of discrimination, harassment or bullying. Members who witness any type of inappropriate behaviour are requested to report it immediately to the President or Secretary.

6. Environmental Responsibility

Members shall strive to minimise their environmental impact and promote sustainable practices.

7. Enforcement

Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, including termination of membership or sponsorship agreement.

8. Review and Amendments

This Code of Conduct shall be reviewed annually and amended as necessary to ensure it remains relevant and effective.
